After years of separation, the lovers discover that every path they take leads them back to each other
Synopsis
Local rebellious teenager Clotaire falls in love with his schoolmate Jackie, but gang violence leads him down a dark, destructive path. Malik Frickah, who plays 17-year-old Clotaire in the film, was a world champion breakdancer at the age of 10. One of the characters wears a Rolex Daytona Ceramic in the 1990s, but this watch was only released in 2016.

I was very excited when I saw this film, directed by Gilles Lelouch and starring Adele Exarchopoulos and François Civil, who I really appreciate. It has all the ingredients to make a French Bockbuster, but they missed the mark. The first part is definitely too long to show the scene of their new life and love.
After a while we wonder if we’ve entered the wrong screening room
Also, we start to feel frustrated that after an hour we haven’t seen anything from Adele and Francois. If this long first part was intentional, the film should have been released in 2 versions. Because I think that even though it was too long, it was good.
As for the ending, it was too easy
The second part of their adult life is unreliable in many ways and not exciting enough. I found the adaptation of the script to be quite weak. Also, I didn’t feel any connection to this love story of reunion.
It’s a shame because I think we missed the opportunity to make a great film here
Congratulations to Mallory Wanecque as Jackie and Malika Fricka as the young Clothier, who give a great performance.
