Synopsis
Paddington returns to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who is currently living in the Bear Retirement Home. An exciting adventure begins with the Brown family when a mystery leads them on an unexpected journey. However, he came up with the idea for the third film and was attached as an executive producer.
Paddington in Peru is a charming, if unassuming film
He starred in Graham Norton and guest: Billy Crystal/Emily Mortimer/Hugh Bonneville/Pharrell Williams/Michael Kiwanuka (2024). Sure, it doesn’t reach the heights of Paddington 2, but it probably lives up to the first one. With a different director at the helm, this film also takes a different angle, moving the action from London to the jungles of Peru.
It makes the story interesting enough, flows pretty well, and keeps a decent pace
This is probably a wise choice, as it helps the film feel fresh and different compared to the other two. It also gives room for a slightly different kind of story, with this one feeling more adventurous and exciting. The humor is a little average, but it’s definitely aimed more at kids, so that just reflects my age more than anything else.
It’s nice and gentle
I also think the emotional side is a little lame. I remember Paddington 2 making me cry, but this one seems a bit gentler. I actually think that’s the word that sums up this movie.
