Synopsis
Inspired by a true story and directed by Magnus von Horn, THE NEEDLE GIRL follows Karolina (Vic Carmen Zonne), a young factory worker struggling to survive in post-World War I Copenhagen. When she finds herself unemployed, abandoned, and pregnant, she meets Dagmar (Trine Dürholm), a charismatic woman who runs a secret adoption agency that helps mothers find adoptive families for their unwanted children. With no other option, Karolina takes on the role of a nurse. A strong bond develops between the two women, but Karolina’s world is shattered when she discovers a shocking truth about her job.
